Like many in my generation, I grew up spending a lot of time outside. Personal technology was just making its way into the home (a wireless remote for the TV!? Awesome!) and I still entertained myself with the great outdoors.

As technology rapidly advanced (where are the three remotes I need to watch TV!?), my career headed in a direction fostered by that growth. In my personal life the simplicity of the outdoors seemed to become entangled with the high tech world of entertainment.

I continue to strive towards the romanticized idea of being a true outdoorsman. Yet, sometimes, it seems a struggle to participate in, and share with my family, the nostalgic outdoor life of my childhood when todays life style and the technology within conspire against me.

I apply my best efforts to be involved in the great outdoors. I work diligently to bring my family with me and share in the company of likeminded friends. Though, through all these efforts sometimes I feel that I ended up, simply as a
